What are dental veneers?

Veneers are thin shells, usually made of porcelain or E-max ceramic, that are bonded to the front of your teeth. They change the colour, shape and length of a tooth while keeping most of the natural tooth underneath.

What veneers can fix

How they are fitted

After a consultation and smile design, a very thin layer of enamel is usually prepared so the veneer sits naturally. Impressions or a digital scan are taken, temporary veneers can be placed, and the final veneers are bonded in a later visit. Most veneer cases need about 5 to 7 days in Istanbul.

Veneers or crowns?

Veneers cover the front of the tooth and are used when the tooth is healthy and strong. Crowns cover the whole tooth and are chosen when a tooth is heavily filled, broken or root-treated. Many Hollywood smile plans combine both.

How long do veneers last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, porcelain veneers commonly last 10 to 15 years or more. Avoid biting very hard objects, and wear a night guard if you grind your teeth.

Do veneers hurt?

Preparation is done under local anaesthesia, so it is comfortable. Some temporary sensitivity to hot and cold after fitting is normal and usually settles quickly.
